Winscribe supports DLA Philips Fox at TDA 2011

The Ride for Life - Tour D'Afrique 2011

Update: Winscribe congratulates all the riders on succesfully reaching the finish line. What a fantastic effort!

In 2011, Winscribe will be supporting a fantastic cause that encompasses what Winscribe is all about – A passion to win, a can-do attitude, having fun, being a little unconventional and above all – working together to achieve success.

Map of the TDA 2011 Route through AfricaFor the past 9 years, cyclists from around the world have taken part in the annual Tour D’Afrique, a gruelling, 4 month long cycle race from Cairo to Cape town either individually, or as part of a relay team  – a whopping 12,000kms all up. And it’s all in the name of charity.

One of Winscribe’s customers, the Australian contingent of law firm DLA Phillips Fox will send a relay team of dedicated cyclists to tough it out through 8 stages. Starting in January 2011, their goal will be to help fund an ActionAid project in Malawi that will provide safe, clean drinking water to 4 village communities in the remote region of Kabunduli. This project will directly benefit 3500 people and help them make positive changes for the future.

The event will be working in conjunction with charity organisation ActionAid to help make a difference. ActionAid is an international anti-poverty agency working in over 40 countries, working with poor people to end poverty and injustice together. Working in partnership with over 2,000 organisations - from small community groups to national alliances and international networks ActionAid works to address the root causes of poverty, not just the effects.

Winscribe is incredibly proud to be sponsoring DLA Phillips Fox on this journey, and we hope that you’ll join us in supporting this event!.
