WinScribe to Show Superior Dictation Workflow Management at LegalTech Congress and Exhibition

Legal professionals dictate profits with WinScribe

Chicago, January 5, 2006 - WinScribe, developer of one of the world’s most widely used digital dictation workflow systems, will be exhibiting at LegalTech 2006, January 30 – February 1, in New York.

WinScribe has been developed with the requirements of the legal profession in mind, meaning that legal firms benefit from improved workflow and employee performance. The legal sector has specific requirements for dictation, including the need for efficient turnaround of transcripts to provide better customer service and the ability to share practice resources across multiple offices.

WinScribe is the solution of choice for many legal organizations globally and is being used to create new levels of efficiency for these customers. Bowles Rice McDavid Graff and Love LLP practice, was looking for a more robust digital dictation system that could better cope with their rapidly expanding operation, that was user friendly and that could be implemented with minimal disruption to current work practices.

Brad Harris, Head of Dictation Management at Bowels Rice, reports, “With the old system, we’d lose billable hours 10-to-15 times per month, but WinScribe has given us that time back and that goes directly to the bottom line. I don’t know if you can put a price on user satisfaction, but WinScribe has made a noticeable, positive impact on our dictation workflow”.

Users of WinScribe software can dictate anywhere, anytime and have their dictation automatically routed to the relevant transcription staff, wherever they are located. By adding VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) the latest release of WinScribe also allows customers to make VoIP or Internet telephony calls directly to the WinScribe server, meaning they can directly dictate to the WinScribe system, and bypass in this instance the need for recorders or other equipment.

Matthew Weavers , CEO, sees legal as an important sector driving WinScribe’s continuing growth. "It is not enough to simply offer an elegant solution for the dictation and transcription of documents. We are finding our customers need a total solution – one that handles the workflow elements of transcription well. We offer a solution that copes effectively with the legal industry’s workflow”, he says.

LegalTech, an annual three day legal technology event, will feature presentations and an exhibition of the latest technology offerings for the legal sector. WinScribe will be exhibiting at Booth 2106 where the latest release of the WinScribe solution will be on show. Senior staff will be available for meetings if arranged in advance.
