Voice Technologies wins national framework Scotland contract for digital dictation

As part of a £201 million funding package for NHS Scotland, Voice Technologies’ innovation and customer focus has won them the National Services Scotland contract that allows all NHS establishments to purchase WinScribe solutions from them without needing to tender.  Health boards across Scotland can now invest in new technology to promote patient care, and improve efficiency.

Scotland, March 26, 2008 - Voice Technologies have been awarded the NHS National Framework for Scotland contract for digital dictation, beating off competition from a number of UK and international firms.  The firm, who are based in both Paisley and Sheffield, were selected above numerous other providers because of their proven track record in deploying successful WinScribe systems in NHS Trusts across Scotland, developing innovative solutions, delivering tangible improvements through their commitment to customisation and extensive customer support.

This means that hospitals in Scotland now no longer need to go through the potentially time-consuming and costly tender process to set up digital dictation systems, allowing them to allocate their new, additional spending with minimal hassle.  Integrated solutions from Voice Technologies can deliver significant savings and create efficiencies in healthcare, helping medical teams to improve turnaround times, become more efficient, reduce costs and, as a consequence, get results to patients sooner.

Heather Wylie, Managing Director of Voice Technologies, commented:
“Voice Technologies can now help hospitals and clinics take advantage of the efficiencies that WinScribe delivers faster than ever before.  We’re pleased that our commitment to improving healthcare has been recognised: a welcome addition to the previous awards we have received for innovation and customer service.

This contract has a projected value of over £2 million, and competing against international firms to keep this contract in Scotland has assured us of one thing: that our innovative solutions will help patients to get their results sooner.”
