Join Winscribe as an Intermediate Software Developer based in our Auckland Headquarters

We are currently looking for a high performing and experienced Intermediate Software Developer to join our Auckland team. Over the past year this team has seen developed a number of highly successful products for the US, UK and Asia Pacific customers.

Key Requirements

The Intermediate Software Developer will be part of the Winscribe Software development team responsible for design, development and support of the company’s product suite.

 


 

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support

  • Provide assistance and advice to staff, dealers, distributors and end-users on technical issues related to the company's Winscribe products and services.

  • Diagnose and resolve software or technical problems with Winscribe systems.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of computer operating systems and associated software for Windows and the future developments of this operating system.

 

System Design, Installation & Testing

  • Design system architectures, use cases, sequences and flows for new software programs or modifications to existing programs.

  • Design, install and test new programs or modification to existing programs.

  • Perform software development works as assigned by Senior Software Developers or the Director of Software Development.

  • Work within defined software development process to ensure product specifications are met.

  • Adhere to software industry best practices and patterns.

  • Work with project managers to provide software development effort estimates.

  • Takes ownership of own personal growth and career planning with appropriate direction from Management.

  • Write high quality and well-documented code according to accepted standards based on user requirements with minimal supervision.

  • Participates in development, testing and implementation.

  • Contributes to successful completion of project deliverable.

  • Develop integrations between Winscribe and third-party systems.

 

Key Requirements

Languages

  • The Intermediate Developer is required to have an in-depth understanding of Microsoft

  • C#, Javascript, Microsoft Visual Basic, and Microsoft Visual C++ programming.

  • The Intermediate Developer is required to become advanced level in ASP.NET MVC, Web

  • API, NHibernate, WPF, WCF, and the .NET framework.

  • Winscribe will require the Intermediate Developer to learn new programming languages and technologies from time to time, to enable the Developer to efficiently carry out his/her duties.

  • The Intermediate Developer is required to coach, mentor and provide training of programming languages to Junior Developers.

  • Citrix, Microsoft TSE

  • VMWare

  • A familiarity with Microsoft Team Foundation Server and Scrum templates is beneficial Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

  • 3 – 5 years previous experience

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Previous experience of working in a fast paced team environment
