Matthew Weavers

Winscribe CEO

In 1995 Matthew co-founded Winscribe, where he currently holds the title of CEO.

1n 1981, after graduating from The University of Waikato’s School of Computing, Matthew began his IT career. In 1984 he left his role as Development Manager for Access Data to co-found Star Micronics, a distributor of PC hardware and peripherals.

In 1989, after expanding the business throughout New Zealand, Australia and Hong Kong, Matthew sold his interest in Star Micronics to return to New Zealand where he co-founded Amtel Communications. Amtel specialises in software development and distribution in the telecommunications space in New Zealand.
In his spare time Matthew enjoys skiing, flying and motorcycling (but is currently between Harleys) as well as spending time with his family.
