Winscribe Strengthens Capabilities of Legal Sales Team

Winscribe has appointed two senior business development managers to join their UK Legal Sales Team

London, the 27th of August 2012

The move to grow the legal team continues the theme of expansion for the dictation workflow specialist whose market share in both the legal and healthcare markets is showing a continued upward trend despite Winscribe already being entrenched as market leader.

Colin Wilson, Global VP of Sales commented: “What we are doing by increasing our sales and support of the legal market might surprise some of our competitors in the UK who are doing the opposite. We have always been committed to the legal market, are heavily invested in understanding the challenges it faces and are developing innovative solutions that address them. Since Outcomes-focussed Regulation and Alternative Business Structures have shown to be challenging for law firms, we needed to increase our team of experienced staff in the UK to meet the demand for our consultancy services and software solutions.”

Simon Hanson joins Winscribe predominantly to manage the Business Process Management (BPM) business line in the UK. The 47-year-old took up his new position at Winscribe, leaving behind his role at Cognito Ltd.

Speaking of his appointment, Hanson said: “Winscribe is a company of international repute and I am very pleased to be joining its ranks at such an exciting time.” He continues, “The challenges that OFR and ABS are posing to legal firms in the UK, with risks of non-compliance, are very real and we are very fortunate to be in a position to help legal firms address these challenges. Our legal workflow solutions, developed to tackle issues such as client and matter inception and complaints handling, are very exciting in this regard, as they not only address OFR reporting requirements, but at the same time increase productivity and accountability. I am looking forward to show just how much time and cost can be saved”.

The company has major ambitions for the continued development of its renowned digital dictation solution with a variety of successfully integrated speech recognition systems installed in legal firms throughout the country in the past few months.

Mike Shackley joins the legal sales team to focus on the growth and development of the core digital dictation business from Lanner Group where he was Director of Partner Sales.

”I feel the potential at Winscribe is just superb and I am looking forward to helping this successful business grow even more”.

“I come from a strong customer focussed background, and see great potential in helping our clients get the best out of their investment with us. Our technology is best in breed, way ahead in terms of development and scalability and fits very well with what law firms are trying to achieve today”.

Shackley’s career has spanned a number of blue chip companies such as Oracle, Diageo, Mars and ICL as well as a number of more specialised organisations such as SQS.

“We are a company with a passion for developing clever solutions to address our customers’ business issues, and with the strength of both Simon and Mike on the Legal team, we are in a position to help more law firms address their OFR needs and reduce their costs. In this economic climate, it is a good place to be,” Colin Wilson concludes.
